Hi guys,
I am currently about to start a 2003 Exchange transition to Exchange 2010. There will be two 2010 Servers and the old 2003 server is currenlty using a Smart Host. I am planning to run the new servers in Transition mode but I wish to go away from the Smart Host setup with the new servers. A third server woul be installed to perform the Edge Transport Role.
So, I am wondering what will be the best course of action to move away from the current Smart host and use the Edge Transport Server as the SMTP Gateway with a minimum impact on the mail flow?
Any advices will be greatly appreciated and although I have a thogt process already written down I am just trying to confirm what I intend to do will have a minimum impact on the organization.
